Timelapse: Organic Candle Burn Test

Burn an organic candle with us. Shown is one 4 hour burn cycle (combustion cycle) via timelapse; full burn tests typically consist of 10 or more combustion cycles (40+ hours) to assess adherence to safety standards and general performance.

What we look for during each 4 hour combustion cycle:
✓ Safe vessel temperature
✓ Appropriate flame height
✓ Little to no sooting
✓ No secondary ignition
✓ No wick migration
✓ No vessel cracks or failure
✓ Acceptable aftersmoke
✓ Expected scent "throw"
✓ Minimal (or expected) tunneling

(In our case, we design candles to "catch up" halfway through the burn in order to maintain safe vessel heat and the aromatic longevity of our organic essential oils.)

This video demonstrates a small piece of how we ensure every candle is safe and functional, at the very minimum.

The Organic Standard

We make purely organic candles, meaning the wax, wick & fragrances used are all certified organic.

WAX: Soil Association certified organic
WICKS: Organic Content Standard certified organic
BOTANICALS: USDA certified organic
