Basalt Ceramic Organic Candle

Essential oil and natural fragrances will almost always be lighter than typical synthetic fragrances (a feature, not a bug) and will not fill a room as quickly. You can expect our scents to be very pleasant and more subtle, as they are designed to not be overwhelming.

Smaller candles are lighter and better suited for smaller rooms like bathrooms, small offices or bedrooms. Candle aromas may not be as easily appreciated in large vaulted or open spaces, but they will always be lovely ambiance.

*USDA certified organic plant-derived aromatics consist of organic sunflower oil & botanic aromatic isolates derived only from plant extracts—USDA certified organic means at least 95% of the aromatic blend is organic with the remaining percentage following strict non-synthetic sourcing and production standards. For a truly 100% organic candle, our essential oil-only options have you covered. For those scents which cannot be captured with organic essential oils alone, we offer the cleanest (still certified organic) botanicals available, with all organic candles carrying a total organic percentage greater than 99.6%.

CANDLE CARE
A few habits will help your candle burn cleanly and evenly to the end.

• Our wicks are self-trimming but burn best with a quick trim to 1/4" (6mm) before each lighting.
• Burn for at least 2 hours at a time but no more than 4 hours to prevent overheating.
• To encourage an even burn, rotate the candle periodically.
• If a dark “mushroom” forms on the wick: extinguish, let it cool, and trim before relighting.
• Keep the wax pool free of debris and fully extinguish your candle with a snuffer.
• Always burn within sight, on a stable, heat-resistant surface, and away from drafts or flammable objects.
• Keep away from children and pets, and don't move your candle while it's lit or still hot.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Stop burning when 1/4" (6mm) of wax remains.

Some "tunneling" may occur at the beginning of each candle's life. Our candles are designed to "catch up" as they burn both for safety (so that the candle does not overheat) and to increase aromatic longevity.
